The Company

Stiftung Obesunne in Arlesheim provides a caring home for approximately 120 elderly residents, with a strong focus on high-quality care, personal attention, and independence.

The Challenge

Multiple buildings, different departments, and employees working across various locations create logistical challenges.

Managing workwear in healthcare facilities often involves extensive manual administration and large inventory levels to ensure garments are always available when needed.

Obesunne wanted to:

• Reduce the administrative workload associated with workwear logistics
• Improve transparency and control over inventory levels
• Enable a fair and controlled distribution of workwear

The ACG Pulse Solution

As the first nursing home in Switzerland, Stiftung Obesunne implemented the ACG Pulse Q-Web® Gate system for controlled workwear distribution.

How it works

Employees enter the workwear storage room using their staff ID badge via the Q-Gate and collect the garments they need from the shelves.

When leaving the room through the Q-Gate, all garments are automatically registered.

Because every garment is equipped with an RFID tag, the system immediately identifies which employee has collected which items.

New garments can only be issued after previously issued garments have been returned, ensuring a balanced and efficient garment circulation.

For employees, the process is simple:

Enter the room – collect your workwear – leave. Everything is registered automatically.
